NOORA
Soul-sanger og en av Norges beste live-artister.
Har utgitt to album og turnert hele landet. Har høstet
store lovord, også i utlandet. Utviklet sang-talentet
sitt som ungdom, mens hun var medlem i organisasjonen
Afrikan Youth In Norway og fritidsklubben på
Holmlia. Hun gjorde flere låter i samarbeid
med produsent Brotha Buntu. Med erfaringene hun fikk
her etablerte hun etter hvert en suksessrik karriere
og har blitt et kjent og kjært navn i norsk
musikk-industri.
”Need You” var Nooras debutsingel i januar
1998. Så kom albumet ”Curious” og
i 2004, oppfølgeren ”All I Am”,
produsert av britiske Dodds og amerikanerne Joel ”JK”
Kipnis og Dinky Bingham. Sistnevnte hadde tidligere
jobbet med sterke soul-navn som Rahsaan Patterson
og Jaheim. Noora er nå i gang med forberedelser
til ny utgivelse.
NOORA - Scandinavian Queen of Soul.
Noora started singing as a member of Afrikan Youth
In Norway and Holmlia Fritidsklubb. She did many tracks
with producer Brotha Buntu. The experiences she got
here laid the foundation for the success she would
later experience. Noora is now an established name
and normally referred to as the Scandinavian queen
of soul, her first album "Curious" sold
around 50.000 in total and won Noora the Norwegian
Hit Award for Best Female Artist. Her hit "Need
you" has been a popular video on The Lick/MTV
ever since. She had 5 top 20 -hits on radio in Norway
on her debut album giving her the "Best female
artist" award at Hit Awards. Noora won the prize
for Best Live Artist after her first Norwegian tour.
Her next album, recorded in London and New York took
a while to finish as Noora got ill and had to stop
all recordings for 2 years. This new album "All
I Am" is now released in Norway. Noora is an
exceptional live artist, and she is currently preparing
for touring this Summer. One of her first major gigs
will be the Quart Festival in Kristiansand warming
up the audience for Alicia Keys. Noora is also busy
recording with renowned hiphop producer Tommy Tee.
She is currently working on a new album.
