Grammisnominerade sångerskan Jaqee som slog igenom 2005 i Sverige med albumet Blaqalixious samt låten The Way You Make me Feel som hördes mycket i radio och var "Fresh" på MTV. Men det riktigt stora genombrottet väntar nog ändå tills nästa album som hon under sommaren 2006 påbörjar inspelningen av. Jaqee kallas med rätta fortfarande en av Svenskt musiklivs bäst bevarade hemligheter...

JAQEE is a unique East-African born singer/songwriter based in Sweden. She has been making a name for herself on the Scandinavian R&B/hip-hop circuit for a while now and is currently working hard to extend her name even further abroad. She featured on both BLaO Entertainment's 1999 and 2002 highly-acclaimed compilation albums and media response her work as the standout tracks on each project.

Singing about the joys and the pains of love or the daily challenges of life as a young black woman, JAQEE's seductively beautiful voice harnessed the diverse urban beats on tracks such as "Headfall", "Karma" and "High Heels" on her debut album "Blaqalixious", out in 2004. "The way you make me feel", her 2005 single, has scored huge success via MTV. Growing up with music around her constantly, JAQEE has embraced influences and inspiration from classic R&B, Reggae, Jazz, Neo-Soul, modern R&B, Hip hop, etc.
She cites this open-mindedness and her long-time African church upbringing as the major attributes that helped her model her distinctive style and vocal delivery. This applies both to her recorded work and her live shows. JAQEE remains enthusiastic about experimenting and improving her musical talents while continuing to develop as an artist and entertainer.
